Hilkiah Revival welcomes both new plants and established congregations seeking a new denominational home. Neither path is a shortcut. Relationship, doctrine, character, team health, and local church readiness all matter.

An established congregation moves through doctrinal, relational, governance, and organizational alignment before affiliation.

We retain Calvary Chapel’s patient, Word-centered approach to church planting while replacing the lone-planter assumption with a prepared fivefold team.
Leaders evaluate doctrine, character, gifting, family health, local-church faithfulness, and a shared burden for a community.
Apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, and teaching functions are identified. The team learns to pray, decide, resolve conflict, and serve together.
The team leads Bible studies, evangelism, discipleship, counseling, worship, children’s ministry, and practical service under oversight—not only in a classroom.
Worship, children’s ministry, administration, hospitality, prayer, media, and outreach servants are prepared so the new church can care for people from the beginning.
The team enters its community through relationships, home fellowship, evangelism, and straightforward Bible teaching. Public growth follows readiness, not hype.
The sending church provides coaching and care through the early years. From the start, each leader trains another so the new church can eventually send a team of its own.
Path two
Changing denominational identity affects a whole congregation. The process should be truthful, pastoral, legally careful, and free from pressure.
Church leaders learn the Hilkiah foundation and share the congregation’s history, health, needs, and reasons for considering a change.
Leaders review Calvary Chapel doctrine and ministry philosophy carefully, identify disagreements honestly, and determine whether unity is genuine.
The church assesses its leaders, fills missing functions responsibly, defines roles, and adopts team-based governance with biblical accountability.
Members receive clear teaching, time for questions, and honest information about what will and will not change. No transition should be hidden behind a rebrand.
The church handles bylaws, property, insurance, employment, credentials, prior denominational obligations, and public communication with appropriate counsel.
Affiliation begins a relationship of mutual support, leadership development, doctrinal faithfulness, and preparation to help send another team.
Before either path begins
Every prospective team or church should be ready to affirm the shared doctrine, practice fivefold team leadership, teach Scripture expositionally, operate with financial and safeguarding integrity, and participate relationally in the fellowship.
Hilkiah Revival is establishing its founding standards, assessment process, and leadership relationships. This page sets the intended pathway; it is not yet a public application or a promise of affiliation.
